ECTS

The European Credit and Transfer System (ECTS) aims on assessment, transfer and accumulation of study credits within the European higher education area. The basis for awarding ECTS is the workload that the students must complete in order to achieve the goals of a course of study. At EUFH one ECTS corresponds to a workload of 25 – 30 hours. This includes all learning activities that are part of the course of study such as pre and post processing, lecture time / course attendance and examinations. At EUFH international students can gain up to 30 ECTS per quarter.

Academic Calendar

The academic year at EUFH is divided into four quarters (quartester):

  • 1st quarter: beginning of January – end of March
  • 2nd quarter: end of March – end of June
  • 3rd quarter: end of June – end of September
  • 4th quarter: end of September – mid of December

Examinations

Final exams take place during the last two weeks of each quarter.
